What is XVIF?
XVIF (pronounced “eek-viff”) is a new file import utility that enables you to easily and quickly import your files into various software programs. You can use XVIF to import files from your computer or external storage devices, including USB drives, cloud storage accounts, and FTP servers.
XVIF is available as a free download from the XVIF website. After you have downloaded and installed the program, you can start importing your files by clicking the “import” button on the main toolbar. The Import dialog box will appear, where you can specify which files you want to import.
Once you have selected the files you want to import, click the “import” button on the dialog box to begin the process of importing them into XVIF. The progress of the import process will be displayed in the status bar at the bottom of the window. When the import has finished, all of your selected files will be placed in a new folder called “imported_files.”

Raw Files: If your photos and videos were taken with a digital camera that uses Raw FILES, you should import them as Raw Files. XVIF will recognize all the metadata (information about the photo such as aperture settings, ISO setting, etc.) in the Raw File format.
Catalog Files: If your photos and videos were taken with a digital camera that uses JPEG or TIFF images, you should first export them as Catalog Files before importing them into XVIF. Once they’re exported as Catalog Files, you can then import them into XVIF by drag-and-dropping them onto the Import Screen window.
